Staying Healthy in College

School Violence

Parents embrace their children.

Parents embrace children out side Murrysville, Pa., school.

The recent stabbing at a Murrysville, Penssylvania High school reminds us that attacks can and do occur in schools. At the elementary, middle, high school and college level.

College students should be aware of the dangers they face going to class, and the recent attack comes after a second Fort Hood shooting happened last week and after multiple attacks in other public places last year.

The first rule of staying healthy is staying alive.

Newswise posted an article in 2007 about ways to prevent and survive active shooter situations.  Although the article is older many of the tips are still relevant today.
