Tips From the CDC:
It can be difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you’re a full-time student, especially if you work and have other activities you participate in. The CDC recommends that you keep a few guidelines in mind, including eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep and engaging in regular physical activity.
You should maintain your health with checkups and vaccinations. Check your school for an on-campus clinic. Often, on-site clinics provide easily accessed healthcare at little to no cost.
If you decide to have sex, practice safe sex through contraceptives or birth control. Make smart choices about alcohol and drugs – substance abuse is a very real threat within college communities. Lastly, life in college can be overwhelming at times. If you’re stressed or depressed, get help. If your university has a clinic, chances are that they have mental health resources as well.
